Notice of Candidate Filing for Municipal Office 2022
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Minnesota Statute 205.13; Subd 2, that candidate filings for the City of Anoka elected offices will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 5:00 pm. Our offices will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 30, 2022.
The amount of candidate filings received will determine whether the City of Anoka will hold a municipal primary election on August 9, 2022.
Candidates for City offices file with the Anoka City Clerk, 2015 First Avenue, Anoka, Minnesota 55303.

Regular Municipal Election to elect:
- Mayor for a term of two years.
- City Councilmember (2 seats) for a Full-term of four years each.
Cost to File
The cost to file an Affidavit of Candidacy is $20.00. Individuals may submit a Petition in lieu of the filing fee. For further information on this, please contact the City Clerk.
Withdrawal of Candidacy
Affidavits of Withdrawal are due no later than 5:00 p.m. on June 2, 2022. The filing fee is not refundable.
