Northstar Commuter Rail
As Minnesota’s first commuter rail service, Northstar trains operate along a 40-mile route between Big Lake and downtown Minneapolis. Stations are located in Big Lake, Elk River, Ramsey, Anoka, Coon Rapids-Riverdale, Fridley and downtown Minneapolis, adjacent to the Minnesota Twins’ ballpark - Target Field. Northstar Commuter Rail is a great addition to communities along the Northstar Corridor, providing commuters and businesses a smart, convenient and safe transportation option.

Anoka Municipal Utility (AMU) is a community-owned, not-for-profit, electric supplier serving the city of Anoka, and portions of the cities of Ramsey, Coon Rapids, Champlin and Dayton.

Recycling
Anoka contracts with one recycling hauler to manage the residential recycling service. Staff also works with the Waste Reduction & Recycling Board to coordinate additional recycling opportunities for residents and distributes marketing materials.
